Global Learning Project (GLP)- "New Dimension of Snacks All Around The World"

Hi Everyone!  Here is some of my student work on a Global Learning Project (GLP) named "New Dimension of Snacks All Around The World."  This GLP is project that I created for students to share about a cultural snack and incorporate math in the process.

iEARN- "Connecting Math to Our Lives Project"

This past school year 2013-2014, my middle school students participated in the "Connecting Math to Our Lives Project" from iEARN.org.

My students worked on a House Blueprint activity where they would design their own house and solve mathematical calculations (perimeter & area) of various rooms in their house.

My students are middle school age from Azusa, CA. Here are some student sample work of their House Blueprint.

iEARN- "My Name Around the World Project"

This past school year 2013-2014, my middle school students participated in the "My Name Around the World Project" from iEARN.org.

My students are from Azusa, CA and the primary ethnic demographic of the school is Hispanic.
My students had a wonderful time decorating and creating an acrostic of their names for this project.
